ABOUT PUREWAVE

With PUREWAVE we want to make not only your home but also the world a little cleaner. Our approach is as simple as it is revolutionary - we combine the power of nature with powerful cleaning. That's why our cleaners are environmentally friendly, based on natural ingredients and conjure up an oasis of well-being in your home with their selected fragrances.

We're just dipping our toe into the cleaning business - and we want to give you time to get to know us. So we're starting with the most important basics: all-purpose, glass, floor & bathroom cleaner and a descaler for the coffee machine. But of course our mission is far from complete! We have a lot more planned to make cleaning even easier and more pleasant for you. If you want to stay up to date - subscribe to our newsletter !

We want to live up to our responsibility - from A to Z. We only use recycled plastic for our packaging, so that no new plastic has to be produced for us - and we also make sure that we only use as little as necessary. This not only saves plastic, but also reduces emissions during transport due to the lower weight.

Only products that do not harm the environment go into each bottle: no unnecessary pollutants, no irritating chemicals – instead, natural ingredients that do not settle in our environment even after use.

We save CO2 by producing in Germany and using organic shipping boxes. Our pasture grass boxes are made from renewable raw materials and are very light - this avoids emissions and saves fuel.

For us, it doesn't stop with production: our packaging is 100% recyclable and our cleaners are 100% biodegradable. This way, we leave as few traces as possible and reduce plastic pollution globally. With CleanHub, we have also brought an innovative partner on board: the Berlin-based startup has developed a sophisticated AI technology that traceably feeds plastic into the recycling process - before it ends up in the sea.

Our cleaning products are manufactured exclusively in Germany. We are made in Germany to guarantee quality and sustainability. Our bottles are also made there - only the caps come from abroad.

Anyone can go with the flow - we want to have a lasting impact on nature! We keep our promises: for you and for us. Our packaging is made of recycled plastic and is recyclable after use. The ingredients used are at least 92% natural and all 100% biodegradable. We do without what is not needed: they are free of fillers, microplastics, colorants and preservatives and are 100% environmentally and skin-friendly. Our partner CleanHub cleans nature of plastic with a sophisticated AI that shows us & you exactly how much plastic has been collected - so greenwashing has no chance.

We want a real impact for your home: a clean, fragrant comfort and the best skin compatibility. And we leave just as few traces in your home as we do in nature. So if you want to live as environmentally friendly as possible and it is important to you that you do not use anything when cleaning that will later end up in the sea or in our groundwater - then our cleaners are just the thing! No additional plastic is produced for our products, the packaging is recyclable, our cleaning products are biodegradable and full of the power of natural ingredients. And the bonus: Our cleaners don't just clean, they take you to oases of well-being with unique fragrance creations that you would never have dreamed of.

Cleaner

Apart from the obvious - our modernly designed bottles that you don't have to put away in a cupboard because they just look chic - you don't have to choose between strong cleaning power and environmental friendliness with our cleaners. For us, the two go hand in hand. We have also really strained our noses and created selected fragrances that stand out from everything you're used to from cleaning products. No acrid fumes, no unpleasant chlorine smell - instead, they make your home smell really clean AND cozy.

Yes! Natural ingredients and powerful cleaning are not mutually exclusive, quite the opposite. Nature offers a lot that can keep up with any conventional cleaner in terms of cleaning power. Our descaler, for example, contains citric acid, which quickly removes limescale. So with our PUREWAVE cleaners you get both - powerful cleaning and sustainable ingredients.

We use natural ingredients that clean your surfaces gently and effectively. This is good for your skin and the environment too, because you won't find any irritating chemicals in our products. In addition, all of our ingredients are biodegradable. All of our cleaners - except for the descaler - contain surfactants of plant origin and water. We also use environmentally friendly and natural fragrances, such as linalool or citral, to ensure that it smells good after cleaning.

Let’s take a closer look at what’s inside:

Surfactants dissolve grease and dirt and are therefore irreplaceable in any cleaning product. We only use surfactants from renewable raw materials and avoid synthetic ones that are made from petroleum. Certified plant-based surfactants release less CO2 and have lower emissions. They generally have less impact on the environment, are biodegradable and have very little impact on the environment. Plant-based surfactants are also gentler on the skin and do not dry it out as much as synthetic surfactants.

Our products can be broken down into carbon dioxide, water and biomass through biological processes. Microorganisms or enzymes, for example, can break down our cleaners 100% - all that remains is water, minerals, etc. The advantage of biodegradable materials is that they leave no permanent traces in our environment. Some products, for example, leave behind microplastics. Biodegradable materials, on the other hand, do not produce any waste and sewage treatment plants do not have to laboriously filter them out of our water. They do not release any chemicals or gases that pollute our environment.

It takes about six months for about 90% of our cleaner to break down - that's why it's called biodegradable. That's the difference to "compostable": For that to happen, they would have to be able to break down within three months. So please don't throw our cleaners in the compost ;)

Yes. Our travel detergent is particularly gentle on your clothes. You can also use it for functional textiles. When washing, pay attention to the instructions on the bottle.

Our cleaners make no compromises when it comes to cleaning performance. With tabs or concentrates, for example, the performance depends on the mixing ratio with water, the water quality and the degree of hardness. With our pre-made mixtures, we minimize these variables. You get our cleaners in the optimal mixing ratio. No guesswork, no experimentation. We do the work for you and at the same time you can rely on a perfect result.

When selecting our packaging materials, sustainability is our top priority. We use reusable materials that are particularly durable. We use almost exclusively recycled plastic! Why almost, you might ask? We use color so that we can print the important information. These not quite 1% make it "almost". The bottle without a print is made entirely of post-consumer recycled material. We want to show you transparently how our products are made. That's why our packaging doesn't say 100% recycled plastic.
So no new plastic is produced for our bottles! This saves emissions and helps to reduce the global waste stream. Instead, we use recycled HDPE and PP plastics, which ensure particularly long-lasting and durable bottles.

For tubes, we already achieve a value of 52% with the currently available recycled materials – here too, we will keep at it and increase the value as soon as it is technically possible!

The plastic of our bottles and tubes is 100% recyclable. You can throw them whole in the trash or yellow bag, as all components are made of the same plastic. In concrete terms: you don't have to unscrew the spray heads! :) We use pasture grass boxes for shipping. They are also recyclable. CO2 and water are saved during their production, which means we can also make shipping as sustainable as possible.

Our plastic packaging is particularly light because it uses as little material as possible. The lower weight allows us to save even more CO2 during transport compared to glass containers.

Definitely: Yes! We do not use fragrances with animal or synthetic ingredients, but instead rely on ingredients of plant origin. They are 100% biodegradable and are produced using renewable raw materials. Linalool and citral, for example, are found in plants or vegetable oils and are extracted from them for use in our products. This is also certified by ECOCERT*, a quality seal for ecological products that ensure responsible use of natural resources and the use of natural ingredients.

The answer is clear: No. We use sustainable and natural raw materials for our products that do not harm you or our environment. Petroleum derivatives and petrochemicals, for example, are made from petroleum - a fossil raw material that releases a lot of CO2.

Palm oil is inexpensive to produce, but it destroys entire ecosystems in tropical forests. That's why we don't use it.

They are based on European Union and United Nations laws that aim to provide people with easy-to-understand information about chemicals in different types of products. The information clearly defines whether our products can be dangerous in certain – albeit unlikely – scenarios, such as getting it in your eye or swallowing it. Each of our products also has its own UFI code. This is a 16-digit, unique formulation identifier that links information about the product, its intended use, its ingredients and, where applicable, its toxicity. The UFI code is there to help in emergencies: it allows poison control center staff to quickly and easily advise you or your doctor on the correct treatment.

You can find the safety data sheets (SDS) linked here in the shop on the respective product page. You can also find an overview of all safety data sheets here:

Our bottles are made from recycled plastic, so-called post-consumer recyclate. This means that no new plastic is produced for our packaging. Instead, we only use plastic that already exists. We only use as much plastic as necessary, which makes our bottles lighter than glass bottles - this saves emissions during transport. We use boxes made from pasture grass for shipping. These are produced in Germany and are also recyclable. After using the cleaners, you can also recycle our bottles and tubes as a whole and dispose of them in the yellow bag.
